SMBC Nikko Securities (Hong Kong) Limited is the Hong Kong securities business of SMBC Nikko Securities Inc., which is wholly owned by Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group. The Hong Kong entity was established in 1994 and became wholly owned by SMBC Nikko in 2010 following the acquisition of the remaining interest in Primasia Securities (Asia) Limited; it adopted its current name in 2011. In 2026, it amalgamated with SMBC Capital Markets (Asia) Limited. The firm specializes in investment banking, Japanese equities, fixed income, global capital markets and mergers and acquisitions. It serves corporations, institutional investors and other sophisticated clients and provides access to Japanese and international capital markets.
