Deputy CIO Mr. Amit Nigam left ASK Investment Managers and joined Sundaram Alternate Assets, LTD as the chief investment officer (Equities) in October 2026.

Mr. Amit Nigam joined Sundaram Alternate Assets, LTD as the chief investment officer in October 2026.

Previously, he was a deputy chief investment officer at ASK Investment Managers (November 2025-October 2026). Prior to that, Nigam was a fund manager at Invesco Asset Management (India) Pvt., LTD (April 2018-November 2025). Before that, he was the head of equities at Essel Finance Asset Management (October 2014-April 2018), where he established the firm’s equity investment philosophy and processes. His disciplined management of equity schemes contributed to improved risk-adjusted returns and nearly 15x growth in equity assets under management.

Prior to that, Nigam was a senior portfolio manager at BNP Paribas Investment Partners (May 2005-October 2013). Before that, he was the chief manager at SBI Mutual Fund.

He began his career at Reliance Industries, LTD as an assistant manager in the mechanical function of its purified terephthalic acid (PTA) operations (July 1996-June 1999).

He holds a BE in Mechanical from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (‘96) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) in Finance from the Indian Institute of Management Indore (‘01).
