Deputy CIO Jiajie Liang has been promoted to Chief Investment Officer, Fixed Income & Multi Asset (FIMA) at GIC (Singapore), effective October 2026.

Jiajie Liang has been promoted from a deputy chief investment officer (CIO) to the chief investment officer, fixed income and multi asset (FIMA) at GIC, effective October 2026.

Based in Singapore, he also the head of global macro (GM), overseeing investments across global interest rates, currencies, credit, volatility, commodities, and equity indices.

He is also a member of GIC’s Currency Risk Management Group.

Liang has held several investment and portfolio management roles at GIC since joining in January 2007.

He was the head of fixed income for Europe (June 2019-April 2021). His previous roles include portfolio manager, Global macro (April 2012–September 2018), and portfolio manager, Global Emerging Markets (April 2012–March 2015). Earlier in his career at GIC, he worked as a portfolio analyst in fixed income total return and fixed income risk & operations.

Liang holds a Bachelor of Engineering with Honors from the National University of Singapore (‘05) and a Master’s degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (‘06).
