Chris Hunt joined Kenno Asset Management Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-based investment manager focused on Vietnamese equities, as Chief Investment Officer (CIO) in October 2026.

In this role, he leads the investment team, oversees the investment process, and supports the firm’s expansion through new products and strategic partnerships.

Before joining Kenno, Hunt was an independent investor with investments across listed and unlisted markets.

Previously, he served as Head of Research at Ho Chi Minh Securities Corporation in Vietnam. During his tenure, he strengthened research quality and operational efficiency, rebuilt and repositioned a 30-member team, and led upgrades to the firm’s technology and research platforms. His initiatives helped the research division achieve top ratings and contributed to a reported 25% share of institutional flows. He also served on the firm’s six-member executive committee.

In 2016, Hunt founded Queensberry Consulting Services, advising businesses in healthcare, manufacturing, investment banking, and asset management across the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, and Vietnam.

Earlier, he was Head of Pan-Asia & Australia Research at CIMB, overseeing a USD 100 million budget and approximately 200 staff across 10 Asian locations. His previous leadership positions also included Head of Pan-Asia & Japan Research at Macquarie Group, Head of Pan-Asia Research at HSBC, and Head of Equity Research at Groupe Crédit Agricole.

Hunt began his investment career as Investment Manager – Asia at F&C Investment Trust in the United Kingdom. He graduated from King’s College London.
