Ashis Kumar has been appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO) of LIC Mutual Fund Asset Management Limited, effective 26 September 2026.

Prior to his appointment, Ashis Kumar was the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of LIC Mutual Fund Asset Management Limited, effective 22 April 2026. He ceased to hold the COO position at the close of business on 25 September 2026 following his appointment as MD & CEO.

Before joining LIC Mutual Fund Asset Management Limited, Kumar held several senior positions at Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC of India).

His previous roles included Regional Manager – Marketing, South Central Zone, LIC of India (April 2025–April 2026), Chief – Investment, LIC Central Office (April 2024–April 2025), and Secretary – Investment, LIC Central Office (May 2022–April 2024).

Prior to that, he was a Senior Divisional Manager, Bangalore 2 Division (June 2020–May 2022), Senior Divisional Manager, Bangalore 1 Division (May 2017–June 2020), and Deputy Secretary – Investment, Back Office, LIC Central Office (June 2015–May 2017).

About Ravi Kumar Jha — Former MD & CEO

Ravi Kumar Jha was the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of LIC Mutual Fund Asset Management Limited from January 2024 to September 2026 and previously served as Executive Director – Corporate Strategy from April 2023 to December 2023.

Previously, he was Executive Director – Investments Back Office & Chief Investments M&A at LIC of India (April 2021–April 2022).

Prior to that, Jha was Chief Marketing Officer at LIC Mutual Fund (May 2019–April 2021). Before that, he served as Investment Operations Secretary (May 2017–May 2019), Marketing Secretary (April 2015–May 2017), and SDM (May 2013–April 2015) at LIC of India.
