Leadership transition in Singapore: Ms. Chan San San, CFA, moves to Eastspring Investments as Chief Partnership Officer, while Dr. Andreas Rosenthal takes over as Interim CEO of Prudential Assurance Company Singapore.

Ms. Chan San San, CFA, currently Chief Executive Officer of Prudential Assurance Company Singapore, will take up the newly created role of Chief Partnership Officer (CPO) at Eastspring Investments, effective 28 September 2026.

In her new role, Ms. Chan will focus on strengthening collaboration between Prudential's life insurance businesses and Eastspring, supporting the development of investment, wealth and retirement solutions for customers across Asia.

She will be based in Singapore.

Ms. Chan San San, CFA

Ms. Chan currently serves as CEO and Executive Director at Prudential Assurance Company Singapore. She is also a Non-Executive Director at Prudential Financial Advisers Singapore (August 2025–Present).

Prior to joining Prudential, Ms. Chan held several senior positions at Citi, including Managing Director – Global Market Manager at Citi Private Bank (July 2021–September 2024), Head of Citigold Private Client Regional Business for APAC & EMEA (October 2020–June 2021), Head of Retail Bank Singapore (January 2020–September 2020), Head of Wealth and Segments Singapore (January 2016–September 2020), and Head of Segments & Management Strategy Singapore (January 2010–December 2015).

Earlier in her career, she held roles across Citi's wealth management, retail banking, investment consulting, talent management, treasury, finance, business development and cards businesses.

Before joining Citi, she worked in Mergers & Acquisitions and Strategic Investments at SingTel International (June 2000–August 2003).

Ms. Chan graduated in Economics from Raffles Institution (1996) and holds a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, with First Class Honours and a Minor in Business Law, from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (2000).

Dr. Andreas Rosenthal Appointed Interim CEO

Following Ms. Chan's move to Eastspring, Dr. Andreas Rosenthal will act as Interim Chief Executive Officer of Prudential Assurance Company Singapore, effective 28 September 2026. The company said the process to appoint a permanent CEO is under way.

Dr. Andreas Rosenthal

Dr. Rosenthal previously served as Chief Financial Officer of Prudential Singapore from 2018 to 2025, where he led finance, actuarial, performance management, transformation, procurement, distribution compensation and analytics functions. He most recently served as Chief Enterprise Value Delivery Officer at Prudential plc, working with businesses and functions on strategic execution and enterprise value delivery.

Dr. Rosenthal has more than 25 years of insurance industry experience and has held senior finance leadership positions across Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and the Philippines.

He holds a PhD in Mathematics (Algebra) from the University of Bielefeld (1997).
